Artist Biography

Lynne Maciver (b. 1972, New Zealand) is a painter working in mixed media. Her work is made in response to the drama and contrasts of the landscapes on the Islands where she lives. Under predominantly grey skies, the colours are often subtle and tend towards monochrome.

Lynne is interested in a range of digital techniques and has skills across video, audio and digital drawing. The gneiss rock widely found across Scotland are some of the oldest rocks in the world and are a common motif across her work.

Lynne is a member of Visual Arts Scotland and Open Studio Hebrides.
